Formerly known as "Delta", Humid Subtropic is a South Eastern based jam band from Mississippi heavily influenced by a wide variety of Roots, Funk, Jazz, Blues and Rock and Roll. With a wide variety of inspiration ranging from The Grateful Dead to Steely Dan, to Pink Floyd all the way to Lynard Skynard, Humid Subtropic creates a unique individualized live music experience with a blend of original music, covers and improvisation. Humid Subtropic is set to release their debut studio EP titled "Delta I" in May 2023, with an early release of the single "Take The Ride".
The band will be returning to the studio in the early summer of 2023 to record part two of their debut EP titled "Delta II"
Humid Subtropic was founded in the spring of 2021 by guitarist Wilson Dallas and drummer Austin Eubanks. Making their start at local outdoor stages in Jackson such as Fondren Guitars and The Midtown Depot, Humid Subtropic started completely from scratch, but quickly made waves in their local music community.
"The vision of the band was really just to try to get the best musicians we could find in our area that also shared the same taste of music, and just let it ride."
- Wilson Dallas, guitar and vocal
As they progressed, Humid Subtropic eventually made two new game changing additions to the band. In the spring of 2022 Humid Subtropic added local keyboard phenom Mitchell Singletary who's skilled playing added an entirely new dynamic to the bands sound.
In the summer of 2022 Humid Subtropic secured the addition of local bass legend Will Weathersby who's experience goes unmatched having played in countless other bands and sharing the stage with artists such as Grammy award winner Cedric Burnside.
